Every year, with a view of targeting potential consumers of tourism products from across the globe and India, the Department of Tourism, Government of Rajasthan, Ministry of Tourism, Government of India and FICCI Rajasthan State Council (Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce and Industry) jointly organized the Great Indian Travel Bazaar. Leading national and regional associations like Hotel & Restaurant Association of Rajasthan (HRAR), Indian Heritage Hotels Association (IHHA) and Rajasthan Association of Tour Operators (RATO) also supported the event.
The main focus of the event was Inbound Tourism an Buyer-Seller meet spread over two days. Over 2000 delegates from Indian and abroad attended the event. The event saw a congregation of around 270 foreign tour operators from across 50 countries under one roof. In addition to that, an exhibition of over 253 booths to showcase and market the varied tourism products of India was held in JECC's large column-free halls, which included over 500 key tourism product sellers from India.
